We are proud to share the news that Louise Robinson broke her own female vet club record with a time of 21:00 (10 miles) at the Hemel Hempstead CC TT, which took place on 17 June at the F11/10 course in Tring.
Louise is having an excellent season, she currently tops the London East TT leader board on the Women’s Vet category. Her previous club record was 21:11. “I have wanted to go sub 21 for about 3 years now and although I didn’t quite make it on this occasion I was delighted with a PB. I’ve also set a new VTTA record but that needs to be ratified first“.
“It was a warm fast day with light winds and I knew that I could get a pb if my legs showed up. My legs felt tired in my warm up as expected as I had had a few tough workouts during the week. Everyone who had previously raced was saying it was a fast day so I knew I’d have to suck up the pain if I was to get a pb and push on with tired legs. It was a head wind out to the first turn then tailwind back to the next turn which was fast! The last two miles was into a headwind and was pure pain! I pushed on as hard as I could knowing I could get that pb!”
Louise finished 5th overall in the women’s race. It was a stacked field and the riders above her on the leaderboard for this event are part of Elite and UCI teams.
Congratulations are in order for Louise!
