About Essex Roads Cycling Club

Three big things happened in the cycling world during 1903: Internal hub gears were invented; The Tour de France was inaugurated; and the Essex Roads Cycling Club pedaled its first revolutions on the county’s roads.

Skipping forward 120 years all three are still going strong. Essex Roads continues to be a welcoming club dedicated to building an inclusive cycling community in the heart of Essex.

So why not stay for a while and have a look around. If you like what you see, come and join us on a Sunday group ride, or even try your hand at a TT or two.

Confident that you will be so taken by what you find, you will be beating a path to the Membership Secretary’s door demanding entry. Luckily, our Membership Pages give all the information you need on how to join without leaving the comfort of your own home.
